ACTIVITIES

Archaeological heritage consists of interrelated elements of material, spiritual and social culture. The museum collects not only the material remains of prehistoric humans (movable archaeological artefacts – the primary carriers of knowledge), but also information about immovable objects, the cultural space in which these people lived, and the natural environment in which they lived.

The museum’s mission is carried out through the acquisition, processing, cataloguing, conservation and storage of museum objects and information relating to the above-mentioned topics.
We fulfil our role as a bridge between prehistory and the present day through cultural, educational and scientific activities. We also aim to foster a positive and active attitude towards archaeological heritage among the public.
